We recognise that grade 6 & 7’s are at a key transitional stage in their lives. They are increasingly enjoying their growing independence, constantly searching to figure out who they are and what they believe and always looking for some cool community to belong to. At Ignite, we want to encourage them to explore all these things in a safe, Christ-centred environment.
Ignite Friday Night
6 – 8pm at the Rondebosch venue
Ignite Sunday Morning
Rondebosch AM: 8:30am & 10:30am
It all happens at home
Every month Kids Rock (the children's ministry for kids age between 5 and 11) will put a Parent Cue in your hand to better equip you to fulfill this vital role at home – it is basically a tool to help you know what your children are learning and to enable you to engage better around that content.
We really want to encourage you to use Parent Cue, speak to your children about what they are learning, and intentionally invest in your parenting – because ultimately your children look to you as their spiritual champions.
What we believe
• I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with my creator.
• I belong to Jesus Christ and define who I am by what He says.
• I exist every day to demonstrate God's love to a broken world.
So, we invite all grade 6 & 7s to join us either on Friday night or on a Sunday morning where a group of really cool and passionate leaders are waiting to have a good time.
Meet the leaders
Brad heads up the children’s ministry team across Cape Town. He is married to his lovely wife Anne and they have three children – Josh (5), Ben (4) and Timia (2) – with another bundle of joy due in December this year. Brad is really just a big kid with a heart for guiding children to love God and others, and a passion to partner with and equip parents to be the spiritual champions of their homes.
Dave is the Ignite administrator for Ignite at Common Ground across the city and leads the Fuel Team. Dave has a great passion for the grade sixes and sevens in our city, that they would come to know the love of Jesus Christ.
