Family Service Day @ Cape Academy of Maths, Science & Technology

This school, in our own backyard, needs our help! This former venue for the juvenile holding prison has been transformed into a school with close to 600 students of which around 150 live on site in hostels. Most of these students come from townships or rural communities and have been selected to attend this school because of their educational success and their potential in maths, science and technology.

Join us as we serve this local school by mowing lawns, trimming trees, painting walls and even creating a mural to brighten up the school grounds! There’s a job for everyone so bring your own equipment and dig in!

Justice Journey

The Justice Journey is designed to challenge, inspire, and equip you to better engage with the issues of social justice that surround us – individually and as a congregation. Knowing God’s heart for justice, and learning about how others are responding to the challenges in our city, will prepare you to live out compassion and justice!

Each step of the Justice Journey consists of a Workshop which will include discussions, listening to stories, and engaging with the preparation readings and reflection work done at home!

Breaking Ground

Breaking Ground is a course designed to empower individuals to break free from unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour. Breaking Ground is an 8 week process, facilitating personal growth in: self-awareness; self-acceptance; identity; and trust in God. It also aims to facilitate relief from painful negative self-beliefs, and aspects of the past that may still have a hold over us. To find out more, click here, or email Rose.
