What is a Redemption Group?

These are small groups that dig deep into difficult and seldom discusses areas of life. We usually run these groups in the 2nd and 4th terms, depending on demand. See below for specific groups.

Beyond Abuse: (For women only). This course helps woman who are facing, or have faced, the devastating effects of an abusive relationship – whether physical, sexual, emotional, psychological or verbal. We learn about the effects of abuse, forgiveness, and God’s ability to restore His identity within us. To find out more, click here.

Boundaries: During this course we learn, within the context of a group setting, when to say “yes” and how to say “no”, how to set limits, and how to take control of our live’s. To find out more, click here.

Jars of Clay For anyone who is living  with any type of chronic illness/pain. It aims to help people better understand and cope with their difficult situations caused by a chronic illness. To find out more, click here.

Security in God: This is an 8 week journey for Rondebosch PM women – exploring our identity in Christ and learning to let go of insecurities. To find out more, click here.

Steps to Recovery – Addiction Support Group: This group is open to anyone who struggles with any form of addictive behaviour, including; substance abuse, eating disorders, gambling, excessive spending etc. They meet on Tuesdays. To find out more, click here.

Tuesday Family Support Group: This group meets on a Tuesday, and specifically serves family members of addicts. To find out more, click here.

Breaking Ground (12 Oct – 30 Nov): Breaking Ground is a course designed to empower individuals to break free from unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour. Breaking Ground is an 8 week process, facilitating personal growth in: self-awareness; self-acceptance; identity; and trust in God. It also aims to facilitate relief from painful negative self-beliefs, and aspects of the past that may still have a hold over us. To find out more, click here. Dealing with Depression (2 Nov – 30 Nov): This is a five week course looking at what depression is, its causes, and how to deal with it. To find out more, click here.

Living with Loss (2 Nov – 7 Dec): For those who are experiencing bereavement or grief from loss of any kind, this course helps facilitate a process of discovery and a healing journey. Within a small group context of sharing and caring, you will find new ways of seeing God, your loss and yourself, as well as find tools for working things out over time within community. To find out more, click here.

Recovery from Divorce and Separation (2 Nov – 7 Dec): This course is for people who are divorced, separated, hoping for reconciliation, or convinced their marriage is over. We hope to bring comfort, hope, healing, encouragement, empathy and understanding to those who are hurting in these areas. To find out more, click here.

These group meetings are held at our Rondebosch venue, and usually run every Wednesday.
