WHY WE GIVE
Did you know that Jesus talked extensively about money? A full 16 of his 38 parables were about money and possessions. The Bible offers 500 verses on prayer, less than 500 verses on faith, but more than 2,500 verses on money. It teaches that ‘our’ money actually belongs to God not us, and instead of spending it all on ourselves, we should consistently and joyfully give a portion of it to the advance of his kingdom through the church.
Ways to give
As Christians, we are called to play our part in kingdom advancement and the mission of Christ within our city and world. One of the ways that we do this is through stewarding a portion of our finances through the local church.
Please look at the information below to better understand how this is done at Common Ground Church.
Sunday offering: At each of our Sunday meetings we take up a cash offering. (Please note for security reasons we strongly encourage you to rather give electronically).
EFT: If you would like to give electronically please use the bank account details below and the correct reference code.
Why do we use reference codes?: We are one church in the city, but with many congregations. In order for us to make sure your money goes where you want it to, please take the time to choose the correct reference code for our giving.
