We will be starting an 8-week Beth Moore Bible Study through the book of James. The Study is called Mercy Triumphs and includes some of the following topics: joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility and prayer.

We’ll be meeting on Sunday afternoons at 2:30pm before the 4:30pm service. The study will be starting Sunday, 12 May for 4 weeks. We’ll then take a break over the varsity holidays and start up again on the 21 July. There is a cost of R200 for the workbook – this will be a valuable resource to keep after the study, so we do recommend you invest in this workbook. If you are interested in joining this study, we ask that you please sign up here or e-mail samanthaktobias@gmail.com for further details.

Early Life Insights Evening @ Common Ground Church
Jun 3 @ 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

The first thousand days of a child’s life (from conception to two) is a once-in-a-lifetime period of brain development.  Baby’s neurons are connecting at 700 to 1000 times per second!  Churches and Christ-followers are ideally positioned to surround, support and encourage families that are in this stage, to empower them to provide what is needed for baby to reach his or her God-given potential.  This means that every one of us can be doing something. Click here to read more of the ‘why’ behind all this and how you can get involved.

You are invited to join us for The First Thousand Days: Early Life Insights Evening as we discuss practical ways for you as part of the local church, to play a significant role in supporting and caring for families in the first thousand days of their child’s life. This event seeks to inspire, educate and equip you on the incredible impact you can have in your community by showing love, kindness and empathy to the mothers, fathers, carers and the youngest children within your community.

This event is open to all local churches in Cape Town.
