How The resurrection changes everything

Tim Keller, one of the foremost minds of our time in the area of faith and scepticism says it well: “If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all that he said; if he didn’t rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said? The issue on which everything hangs is not whether or not you like his teaching but whether or not he rose from the dead.”

We all know how hard life is – how messy and uncertain everything has become – whether we look at our home, our workplace, our city, our nation or the larger world. We may be surprised that this isn’t a new phenomenon at all! Oppressive regimes, the threat of war, droughts, revolutions – they were all present 2000 years ago when Jesus entered our story as a man to save humanity from itself, from an eternal existence of decay and death. He came to bring us life – joyful, abundant, self-giving life. He came to flip pain, suffering, oppression and ultimate death on its head and strip it of its power. And he did this through his death and resurrection. And he invites us to the same resurrected life.

This is what we are going to be exploring to understand and allow to revitalise our life and faith in this next series, starting on Easter weekend and continuing through April – The Resurrection Changes Everything!

Come and join us as we see how true this offer really is. Whether you are a believer, a sceptic, weary traveller, or doubter – this series is for you.
