Resources for Parents
Christian parenting is of critical importance. From an early age they imitate us. Parents are the most important influence in a child’s life. That is why God in his great wisdom has done some very important things: He ordained parenting in order for our children, whom he loves, to also love him back.
God, in the Bible, gives us hundreds of directions for bringing up our children, and we should be learning from God’s wisdom for as long as we are parents. We hope this growing collection of resources helps you in your parenting journey.

Parenting in a box
Two things that we suspect all parents have in common is that we want to be the best parents that we can be for our children, and we have the gnawing feeling that we could be doing better than we currently are.
Take a listen to Parenting in a Box – an evening we hosted to help the parents of Cape Town in becoming the best parents that we can possibly be.
Speakers include Gary and Debbie Kirsten, Nikki Bush, Hein Wagner, Rob Parsons, hosted by Michael Mol.
Parentalk
Parenting is a mixture of highs and lows and everything in between. It can bring some of life’s biggest joys, but also its greatest challenges. For most of us, a bit of encouragement and a reminder that we’re not alone can make a real difference.
We looked at key issues such as communication with our children, setting boundaries, helping them grow in independence while keeping them safe and, above all, building strong bonds with them that will help us weather those teenage storms.
Lessons we wish we’d learned earlier
Rob and Di Parsons have lived interesting lives. Rob was a senior partner in a successful law practice before he founded Care for the Family more than 25 years ago, and he’s written over a dozen books.
He and his lovely wife Di have two children and 5 grandchildren. They both have the desire to talk with each of their grandchildren when they are grown about all kinds of life changing lessons they’ve learned themselves, and some things they’ve gleaned from others they’ve had the privilege of interacting with.
