The Leadership And Life Academy
What is the leadership and life academy?
In surveying and analysing the young leaders in our churches coming out of university, we have found increasingly capable and well-educated individuals that are not yet well equipped for life. We have seen in young people a general lack of preparedness for life and its challenges. Therefore, the Common Ground Leadership and Life Academy aims to serve young people in getting an advantage as they step into more of what God and life has in store for them. It is a high challenge, high support year, that will call candidates to spend their lives for what matters most, Christ and His Kingdom. We want to develop leaders that will spend their lives for Christ in order to see the Gospel transform our society and revitalise the nations.
Who is this for?
We are looking for contributing candidates who are eager to learn, develop and engage with the full academy and what it has to offer. The leadership and life academy is not a gap year program, and thus we want candidates with a high maturity level who are passionate about Jesus. With that in mind, the leadership and life academy is aimed at local and international students who have completed tertiary studies or are at least three years post schooling (although some exceptions may be made for those coming straight out of high school).

The academy is situated at the Rondebosch Campus of Common Ground Church
in Cape Town, South Africa.

International students are also able to make the most of their down time and holidays by exploring our beautiful city and getting to know the people of South Africa. From cultural tours to historically rich sites, to the beautiful nature and surrounds, Cape Town is a great city to be based in for a year away from home.
